Food security is a complex and multidimensional issue. In order to takeon its challenges, especially now that climate change is worsening the foodsituation worldwide, working on technological innovation in agriculture isjust not enough. Instead, it is necessary to take into account also the culturaldimension of food production. As a matter of fact, besides natural assets,such as water, soil, biodiversity and so on, that are so essential in theprocess of producing food, also cultural resources, such as social systemsand local knowledge, are fundamental.
