The Archive of the Accademia diSan Luca in Rome is a well knownaddress to all scholars and studentsinterested in XVIII century architecture.Here, instead of describingwhat is possible to find, we point onthe missing documents, that wegroup in three categories to whomwe assign the following titles: reticence,deliberate omissions andloss. Under the category of reticencewe have listed some contrasted electionsto the academic body thathave left no documents; under thecategory of deliberate omissions wepresent a unofficial story of some ofthe Concorsi Clementini. Finally,under the category of loss, we list allinformation available on the opinionsrequested to the Academyabout current architectural enterprisesin XVIII century Italy.
