The main purpose of this paper is to study alcohol and drug use in adolescents. It is our aims also to analyse the impact of some personal, familiar and social variables on alcohol and drug use. 436 participants (214 males; 222 females) aged fourteen to twenty-two years were recruited for the present study. A set of tasks consisting in: Drinking Scale, Drugs use Scale, Peer disapproval of health risk behavior Scale and peer modelling of health risk behavior scale (Jessor, 1993), Regulator Self efficacy scale (Bandura, 2001), Sensation seeking scale - form V (Zuckerman, 1994), Parental Bonding Instrument (Parker, Tupling and Brown, 1979) were employed. Data analysis showed different type of drug and alcohol users. Moreover, drug use was related with personal, social and parental variables; alcohol use, indeed, was related with self efficacy and social variables.
