According to Parisi, the human sciences, less reliable than the natural sciences, look for the complicity of philosophers; these, on their turn, even when they pretend to use rational arguments, just simulate scientific procedures. This is correct, but Parisi too surrenders to a philosophical rhetoric while arguing that philosophers can answer radical questions and have something to say about either the courses of history or the development of knowledge.
