Titolo L'oggettività dell'etica: una versione "sentimentalistica" Periodico Rivista di filosofia Anno: 1998 - Volume: 0 - Fascicolo: 3 - Pagina iniziale: 353 - Pagina finale: 384
The descriptivist explanation of the claim to the objectivity in our moral judgments are criticized for their strong ontological assumptions. The intuitionistic analysis of the objectivity in terms of intrinsic value is refused because it neglects the practicality of moral judgments. Against the attempts to capture the objectivity as a result of the practical reasoning, a sentimentalistic analysis is advanced. The claim to the objectivity is a "convention" (in Hume's sense) incorporated in our moral discourse norms and principles are proposed to the others for a convergence on a general point of view.
