All over the world man has interpreted and solved, in different ways, the problem of building his first home. Priority has always been given to the choice of the materials, the place and orientation of the buildings. Everything changed with the rise of the industrial city: buildings, the territory, and later on homes, thanks to modern construction techniques, have become responsible for the high levels of global energy consumption. As global warming increases, many designer engineers are changing their approach and are feeling responsible for pursuing the sustainability objective.
