Recent developments in quantitative comparative research have been followed by an increasing aggregation of datasets that include cross-national statistical information. Most of these datasets combine several time series for more country-units in a single data-matrix. The article presents an overview concerning the main statistical sources that provide such data. Discussion is divided in two parts. The first one describes global datasets. The second one considers the datasets for developed countries only. Both parts take into account datasets assembled by both official international organizations (World Bank, IMF, OECD, etc.) and private research institutions. Consequently, the overview encompasses several statistical sources of macroeconomic, political and institutional data.
