Il lavoro indaga l’evoluzione dei rapporti tra lo stadio inteso nelle sue varie accezioni, l’economia e il territorio. Queste relazioni hanno subito rilevanti mutamenti a partire dall’edificazione dei primi grandi stadi, costruiti agli inizi del ‘900. Nei tempi attuali, l’impianto si deve considerare da una parte un fattore di valorizzazione del territorio, produttore di entrate economiche; dall’altra, un’infrastruttura non priva di forte impatto locale. I processi di pianificazione e di edificazione delle nuove arene si sono fortemente complessificati e possono produrre esiti più o meno favorevoli a seconda che vengano o meno rispettati i vincoli e le opportunità presenti sul territorio di insediamento. The work investigates the evolution of the relations between the stadium, the economy and the territory. These relations have undergone significant changes since the construction of the first large stadia, built at the beginning of 1900. In the present times, the plant must be considered on the one hand it is a factor of territorial development, through the economic revenues; on the other hand, it represent a structure with possible strong local impact. The processes of planning and construction of the new arenas have become highly complex and they can produce more or less favourable outcomes depending on whether or not the constraints and opportunities present in the territory of settlement are respected.
