This study is aimed at increasing and/or opening a debate starting from the book of Michele Trimarchi about the critical aspects of the so called «inexhaustibility» of the administrative power. After an introduction aimed at presenting the theme under discussion, the study consists of three parts: the first one is aimed at synthesizing the structure, goals, contents and main outputs of the book; the second one is aimed at finding and discussing its possible weaknesses and strengths; the last one is aimed at focusing the framework emerging from de first two parts, as to allow it to incentive fur-ther discussion.
