The paper analyzes the decision of Apulia Region, which provides new ways for promoting cultural heritage of religious interest, such as for instance telematic systems. It then examines relations between the civil Region and the ecclesiastic Region about this matter, involving public and religious interests. Relations between the two authorities are governed by legislation agreed upon bilaterally. However regional experience shows that, in many cases, the civil Region does not involve sufficiently the ecclesiastical Region in decisions on religious and cultural goods. In this way religious interests are sacrificed. Therefore, it is indeed essential to respect different competences in order to ensure a continuous dialogue between the two parties and to give a full protection to religious interests.
