Italian Comic book authors migration to France is a medium-term phenomenon, from 1970s to today: in the essay we will analyze this migration from the chronological point of view, identifying three phases. Starting from this artistic emigration, moreover, the concept of authorship in contemporary comics will be analyzed, in France as in Italy. The analysis of the two different contexts and the reasons for the migration of some young authors will finally be useful to understand the reasons for the creation of this cultural subfield, generated by an artistic migration.
