Ana was one of Teresa de Jesús' disciples and her first biography was written in 1632 by the Cistercian monk ngel Manrique. This essay investigate women's intervention on men's writings, and show how Ana de Jesús' fellows (mainly Beatriz de la Concepción) participated in the elaboration of her biography. Their participation took place in the context of the beatification of the discalced Carmelite. Female intervention is analysed with an approach that links religious history and gender history.
