199The paper aims to analyse an educational project that, through the study of geography, wanted to help children of last year of primary school of Aosta Valley to discover their local agricoltural production. The project offers, through the analysis of different landscapes and typical products, food education and development of tourist consciousness, the analysis of the perception of the adults of these issues. Geography, tourism, food and school are the key words to let know the area to its inhabitants, the first interpretation of a responsible tourism. To create environmental and food education is necessary developing knowledge of region, landscape, its typical products (particularly disciplined DOP and DOC).
