This article presents some results of gramsciproject.org, a three-year project carried out thanks to the International Gramsci Society Italy and the Firb grant of the Italian Ministry of Education. The project created the first digital library dedicated to the texts of Antonio Gramsci. This brief summary analyzes two main areas of research: the work that has been done on the transcriptions of the texts, and the creation of a structured knowledge linked to the texts. In the latter case, the building of a semantic structure with cutting-edge technologies in digital humanities leads to new possible fields of research in Gramscian studies, thanks to the potentials related to new semantic instruments such as the indexes of names, themes, media, dictionary entries, and their relations to cross-searches.
