The aim of this contribution is to describe how clinical legal education became a kind of public mission for academics since the reconstruction of the first USA legal clinics as law dispensary. Particularly, as this aim would serve as the bridge between the university and the social needs of the most vulnerable people in society by recognizing their rights and access to justice. Looking at a case study of Federico II, a statelessness legal clinic within the Roma settlement of Scampia, this paper will focus on the relationships between the people of that community and the role of a “politicalµ mediator which is played by the legal clinic toward some Neapolitan legal institutions in order to face legal, environmental and health issues.
