The paper uses data from AIDA, Bureau van Dijk to describe economic and financial performance of the Italian breweries. An application of the multivariate analysis identifies four- five factors and three homogeneous clusters that are able to explain the differences and similarities in the economic and financial performance of Italian breweries. The results of the non-parametric convergence are able to comparation the clusters relative to 2008 and 2012. This analysis confirms the hypothesis of a convergence of industrial and crafts breweries towards a common strategy and financial position. Infact the analysis of 11 fiscal indicators of 27 productive units, carried out that the Italian brewing sector has also resisted well in a period of general economic difficulty and is preparing to come out strengthened in terms of propagation of culture, and in terms of the heterogeneity of the products available on the market. These phenomena are largely attributable to the widespread distribution of microbrewery and brewpub.
