108The aim of this paper is to analyse Simone Weil's conception of Beauty, in conjunction with the mystic background of her philosophical reflection. I will analyse the double inspiration of Weil's Aesthetics, Platonic and Kantian, and I will show the originality of her reworked version of the first moment of "Analytic of the Beautiful", in which Kant refers to a «liking devoid of all interest». Through the distinction between seeing and eating, Weil proposes an idea of Beauty that implies a strong realistic claim about external world, seen in its contradictory relationship with the creature. In Weil's conception, in fact, Beauty, Creaturality and Reality are linked and associated by the logical form of contradiction.
