158This paper examines the obstacles on the way to the ‘re-farming’ process, regarding a sustainable agriculture, which creates new relationships at local level and preserves territory. People who lives in the cities has already started a ‘back to the land’ process, to work as farmer, by the way there are mainly two categories of problems to this re-farming movement: access to land and economic sustainability of farms, most of all of little and middle size ones. Peasants are far from disappearing and becoming ‘agro-businessmen’, as market and institutions both seem to impose, on the contrary they have started to organize themselves, finding elements that can facilitate their life and organic farming, in a new peasant resistance movement, for which is essential a deep collaboration with active consumers (co-producers).
