46This paper is conceived as a collection of letters from cities in different parts of the world. The author uses a narrative expedient - assuming that all letters are written by different people who have, from time to time, reclaimed the same luggage, lost by an initial traveler, in different airports of the world - to emphasize through personal accounts how big cities are changing by hybridizing forms, patterns, languages and cultural habits coming from different contexts. This unconventional reflection on world urbanization adds a personal flavor and overlapping memories to a broader debate, emphasizing the sensorial dimension and the emotions underpinning massive changes occurred in cities over a very short span of our time.
