392In the 18th century, a real explosion of the presence of philosophy in novels takes place. From the "Aventures de Télémaque" by Fénelon to the novels written by the Marquis de Sade, the most important as well as the minor authors work to a narrative figuration of philosophical problems, introducing philosophical excursus or dialogues in their novels, depicting characters of philosophers and creating scenarios inspired by classical philosophical issues. In this article, the author explores the presence of philosophy in these novels and the effects that it produces, at the same time, on the philosophical ideas and on the reading of the fictional text.
