The essay aims to analyze the tale ouput for children produced by migrantswriters in Italy. Since the begining of the Nineties many writers of migrationliving in Italy start to produce a significative number of novels both foradult and young. This production is caracterized by unique voice and narrativestories: collections of fairy tales and legends, autobiographical stories,fiction novels.The essay traces the evolution of this literature, seeks to motivate thelittle attention paid by the specialist studies, focuses also on issues relatedto translingualism and potential for innovation and linguistic hybridizationof the migrants scriptures for children. From this critical path descendedsome thought on the epistemological status of literature of migration, thesearch for a possible distinctive feature that unites these writings, the relationshipbetween literature and national identity.
