This paper aims at extracting from the ghazals' collection, known asMuravvaj divan, by the greatest classical Urdu poet Ghalib, the words ofthe language of love distinctive of this kind of lyric poetry, whose verytopic is by definition romantic. These terms will be commented upon andcontextualized, as well as related to another kind of terms, i.e. boundaries,meant as the limits of the amorous experience in a broad sense. In so doing,the extant critical material, especially the works by Ralph Russell andFrances Pritchett, will be taken well in account.
