Titolo Il test degli Occhi: uno strumento per valutare la 'teoria della mente' Periodico Giornale italiano di psicologia Anno: 2004 - Volume: 31 - Fascicolo: 4 - Pagina iniziale: 839
The Eyes Test was invented to assess of the ability to attribute mental states in adults and adolescents without severe mental retardation (Baron-Cohen, Wheelwright, Hill, Raste e Plumb, 2001). In the present study we report the Italian version of the Test and its normative data obtained from a sample of 195 adults with no previous history of mental disorders. The sample was divided in three age groups and we found that the group of elderly had scores lower than the other two groups. The Eyes Test proved to be a useful tool in previous studies on high-functioning autism, Asperger syndrome, schizophrenia and localization of brain functions. Moreover, it may be useful in investigating Theory of Mind functioning in old age and brain damaged patients.
