This work consists of four parts and faces with the relationship between daily press and energy and environment questions. The first part concerns the origins of the recent people's demand for a clean environment and a better "quality of life". The second part describes the new function of mass-media in contemporary industrialised societies. The third part treats the peculiar attitude of daily press towards technical problems, such as pollution, energy-system, technological innovations. The fourth part presents a case-study in progress, where new methods and theories about means of communication are being tested
