249The complex and impending nature of global contemporary challenges calls academia for to greater integration of professional profiles, scientific backgrounds, and transversal skills. Whereas interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinary might prove difficult for all, academics in hard or social sciences have a longer practice of applied research and teamwork. In that regard, legal scholars seem to find themselves in a partially different situation. After a brief overview of the specificities of legal science and the challenges of conducting interdisciplinary research from a law researcher’s point of view, the article explores some practical strategies that early career researchers could resort to for increasing self-awareness in conducting legal research while navigating interdisciplinary seas.
