The changes that are affecting the relationship between law and science represent one of the most important issues of contemporary constitutionalism. The new challenges facing society, such as the management of the pandemic or climate change, have made clear the inadequacy of the so-called “political lawµ and the body that produces it, the Parliament. At the same time, the role of those scientific colleges which formally support political decision-makers but which, in fact, are replacing them in making major decisions is increasing. The article aims to investigate the current structure, still changing and constantly evolving, and to make some proposals for the future, so that the inevitable demands of a “scientifically legitimateµ right do not conflict with the principles of constitutionalism
