Titolo La "democrazia illiberale". Ungheria e Polonia a confronto Periodico Diritto pubblico comparato ed europeo Anno: 2019 - Fascicolo: 1 - Pagina iniziale: 167 - Pagina finale: 216
The aim of the paper is to analyse the involution from liberal democratic principles of two EU's countries: Hungary and Poland. Nowadays, the political control of Constitutional Courts (and in general of judicial power), the control of public and private media, the manipulation of electoral laws and the progressive restrictions of freedom and social rights are common features for both countries. From this perspective, defining them as "illiberal democracy" could not fit a pivotal topic of the constitutional European debate.
