library trainingWe are pleased to invite you to LIUC’s first International Library Staff Training Week!

This week is addressed to all our colleagues of the Libraries.

The “Mario Rostoni Library International Staff Training at LIUC University” is designed for academic librarians aiming at having a holistic vision of academic libraries.

During our library staff training week we will work together comparing our activities to engage faculty and students in a learning library and share best practices about core subject fields such as: information literacy education and reference services, research repository, reading lists management, library management system (Clarivate Exlibris-ALMA, Esploro, Leganto), management in libraries, the role of AI in education.

You will also discover our industrial archeology landscape, as the Mario Rostoni Library and LIUC University are part of an ancient cotton mill based in the Olona Valley, Milan. You will also visit with us Como Lake and Milan libraries and museums with their treasures of the past, to discover Italian culture from monuments to traditional food.

The Week will take place from 12th May (arrival day) until 18th May (departure day) at Università Carlo Cattaneo – LIUC (Castellanza-Milan, Italy).

Here the draft of the programme to give you a taste of what we are preparing for you.
