The article discusses Simona Forti's I nuovi demoni: pensare oggi male e potere (Milano, 2012). The book moves from a reconstruction of the modalities according to which the link between power and evil has been articulated from the 19th to the 20th Century in order to inquiry into the contemporary understanding of that same link. On this base, the essay discusses some of the crucial issues of the contemporary debates on biopolitics and the subject.
