The armenian scenarios

Strategic foresight of security business and culture in the republic of Armenia / di Dipak R. Pant. - [S.l.] : Crespi ©2000. - 118 p. ; 30 cm.

Armenia's geopolitical environmental and cultural conditions are so peculiar that the tiny ex-Soviet trans-Caucasian country has very little chance to succeed in the global market simply by increasing financial investment and managerial efficiency. The usual urbo-industrial model and quantitative growth-oriented strategy may prove to be counter-productive for the economy and society of this little landlocked ancient Christian community in the remote highlands at the cross-roads of Western Middle-Eastern and Asian culture areas. There is a need of an imaginative economic policy that maximizes the value of Armenia's given natural resources and human capital i.e. habitat landscape foods and drinks customs & traditions history heritage arts & crafts people.... A strategic focus on comprehensive safety security quality and sustainability may help to design a distinct place-product (safe and high quality context) which may ultimately tri-umph in the global market as a tourist destination as well as a business hub if properly positioned as a distinct place-brand (i.e. a certain "Wonderful Armenia).
